After launching your website it won't automatically show in search engine results (Google, Bing etc.). You need to submit your website to each individual search engine so they can analyse the content, and then rank it among other websites.
To improve your search result ranking you will need to work on the following:
Content Quality
Google and other search engines will not show your website in the top search results to begin with. You need to have high quality content that is clear, concise, and easy to read. Search engines match your content against keywords people use when submitting a search.
Headings, titles, content etc. should be written the way you would expect to search for them. When competing with other websites it is best to match common search terms as closely as possible.

Referrals
Your website will also rank higher in search engines if other websites link to it (referrals). This can be achieved by sharing your website on social media (Facebook, Instagram etc.), or guest posts, or asking other websites to list yours amongst relevant content. Getting your website reviewed by people (Google reviews etc.), and other websites is also a useful way to get referrals.
Another excellent method of getting referrals is to create a Google Business Profile. When your profile starts to gain positive reviews search engines will give your website better search rankings.
Website Age
A common myth is that domain age improves SEO which is now mostly incorrect. How long you have held onto a domain (domain age) no longer influences your search rankings, but website age will. Over time your website may grow with new posts being added, content updates or pages which will end up getting re-indexed by search engines. It takes time improving search engine rankings but writing quality content, and getting referrals make a big difference.
Many SEO tools claim to be able to improve website rankings, but the methods above will bring you the best results for little cost. Changes will not happen instantly but if you produce consistent high quality content your website rankings will improve over time.
